K9 UNITS

PLEASE NOTE: SCHOOLS THAT REQUEST CONTRABAND SWEEPS FOR FIREARMS AND OR DESTRUCTIVE  DEVICES HAVE PRIORITY.

 The United States Special Police K9 Units are pleased to announce limited availability for specialized assistance. As of 01/01/2025 only Explosive Ordnance Detection (E.O.D.) K9 Units are operational and ready for deployment.These highly trained E.O.D. K9 teams are equipped to:

• Detect and identify explosive materials.
• Support critical missions involving hazardous devices.
• Provide rapid response to suspicious package incidents.
• Assist in securing high-risk public or private events.

Note: Other specialized K9 units (e.g., narcotics, search-and-rescue, tracking) remain temporarily unavailable. Updates will be provided as additional units return to service.
